Nymity Helps Organisations Prepare for the General Data Protection Regulation
Nymity releases GDPR Add-ons for its knowledge and privacy management solutions
Nymity, a leading global research company specialising in accountability, risk, and compliance solutions for the privacy office, is pleased to announce GDPR Add-ons, an extension to its privacy solutions to help organisations understand their obligations and comply with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Nymity’s research has identified that covered organisations will be required to implement and maintain at least 55 distinct privacy management activities to achieve ongoing, demonstrable compliance. Nymity’s solutions help organisations understand their compliance obligations and operationalise compliance via a structured privacy management approach. With the GDPR Add-ons, several of Nymity’s solutions enable organisations to ensure ongoing compliance.
President and Founder, Terry McQuay, commented “We have been ramping up for the GDPR for a couple of years, including enhancements to five of our solutions and opening the Nymity office in London in 2015. At Nymity, we are fully committed to supporting our EU customers and our customers located outside of the EU that process the personal data of individuals located in the EU.”
With the release of the GDPR, many organisations are faced with the substantial task of implementing the appropriate technical and organisational measures to be able to stand ready to demonstrate compliance with the GDPR. Organisations have until May 25th 2018 to do so, and are further obliged to review and update these measures on an ongoing basis where necessary.
Nymity’s new GDPR specific Add-ons are available for select Nymity privacy solutions, and will help organisations that process the personal data of individuals located in the EU to comply with the GDPR. GDPR Add-ons work with Nymity’s existing solutions, and allow organisations to plan, manage, and communicate their progress towards GDPR compliance.
