TORONTO, Canada, 4 January 2015 - Nymity, a leading provider of accountability, risk, and compliance privacy solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Teresa Troester-Falk as Chief Global Privacy Strategist, a newly created role located in Colorado, USA. This escalates Nymity’s commitment to develop innovative approaches to compliance in an increasingly complex regulatory environment of new privacy laws and regulations, increased enforcement, higher expectations from Data Protection Authorities and new expectations for reporting requirements – an environment where organizations are expected to move beyond the compliance checklist approach.

Teresa joins Nymity from Nielsen (NYSE:NLSN) where she served over four years as Associate General Counsel (Privacy). At Nielsen, she expanded the global privacy program and initiated and led global and regional privacy and data protection programs and strategies, driving the relationships across internal and external stakeholders to advance the company’s privacy agenda. Teresa regularly speaks at privacy events and has served on several privacy, as well as market research, committee and councils for various industry associations and think tanks. Prior to Nielsen, Teresa developed and led the privacy program at Epsilon, following her role as a privacy compliance associate at DoubleClick. Before beginning her career in privacy, Teresa practiced international trade law and was a research attorney. She will remain located in Colorado, USA.
