Lessons Learned from a Major Canadian Privacy Breach

was address to his brother, who has been deceased for over
15 years. The letter states that his brother’s personal
information has been stolen, possibly for the purposes of
identity theft. Upon looking into this matter, Mr. Shin discovered
that there are number of unanswered questions, including how
many individuals are affected and which privacy legislation
applies. This case involves outsourcing sensitive personal
