Privacy by Design (PbD) is a term developed by Dr. Ann Cavoukian, Information and Privacy Commissioners of Ontario, Canada in the ‘90s. PbD refers to the philosophy and approach of embedding privacy into the design of technology, business practices and physical design. Nymity is an Ambassador for Privacy by Design focusing on business practices. Nymity created the Privacy Risk Optimization Process (PROP) to help organizations implement the philosophies of Privacy by Design into business practices. Our customers benefit as the principles of Privacy by Design are embodied in Nymity's offerings.

Privacy Risk Optimization Process (PROP)
On November 2nd, 2009, a joint paper produced by Nymity and the Office of Information and Privacy Commissioners of Ontario was presented at the Privacy by Design: The Definitive Workshop in Madrid Spain. This paper outlines how organizations can implement Privacy by Design in their business practices by following the Privacy Risk Optimization Process.
