When a Merger & Acquisition occurs, what types of personal information might be shared about customers, employees, patients or other data subject types?

It depends a lot about the company’s industry what type of personal information will be shared in a merger & acquisition. Usually there is always information about customers and employees but if the target company is, for instance, a private clinic patients’ personal information (including sensitive information) is in a key role. When a merger & acquisition occurs a closing plays an important role when thinking of sharing personal data.
