What are Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and what organizations have EHRs?
At present, the term “electronic health record” (or “EHR”) has different meanings in different contexts. Also, in certain contexts and for certain purposes, forms of EHR are called by other names, such as an “electronic medical record” or “personal health record”. However, the principal common denominator in all contexts is an electronic document, or record, containing health information about an individual.
